More questions

Is a 32 in door enough?

Not usually: the open door and the stop take some of the width, so a 32 in door gives less than 32 in clear. Measure the clear width.

How do I gain width?

Offset (swing-clear) hinges swing the door out of the opening, so clear width becomes stop to stop: 30 in might become 31.8 in.
